Conlin Bass began The Bandana Project in the spring semester of his freshman year to increase mental health and suicide prevention awareness
A mental-health initiative begun by a UW–Madison student in 2016 has distributed thousands of lime green bandanas to Badgers while expanding to other campuses in the country. The bandanas are intended to spread awareness of mental-health resources and to prevent suicide.
“What I’ve learned through this work is that everyone has something in common, you just have to find it. Make those connections,” said Conlin Bass about his work starting The Bandana Project.
